Runnin’ up that HILL (CITY!)

I went on a run in my neighborhood to test out. It happened to be lightly raining which was actually perfect to get to see how the pieces performed outdoors in the elements! I don’t have much red in my closet, but when I saw the Waterproof Hooded Shell in red, I knew I needed it. It’s a highly breathable waterproof shell that is perfect for braving the fall elements as it’s lightweight – almost feeling like a second layer of skin. I love the snap closures on the cuff of the jacket and the rear cape vent for temperature ventilation. I’m wearing the Midweight Train Pant, which was made for running in lower temperatures outdoors. It features a sleek silhouette with elastic cuffs at the ankles and zipped pockets. While made for training, I could definitely see myself living in these pants too since they’re designed for every day!

For my second look, I’m headed to Downtown NYC, just as it started to lightly drizzle. I’m rocking the Thermal Light Shirt Jacket this insulated jacket is stylish enough to be worn as an outer layer and the fact that it’s water-repellant makes it such a versatile piece. I think the olive color in this style looks (and photographs!) so nicely, and love the snap buttons featured down the front of the jacket! It’s a “warm without the weight” high-performance layer, perfect for this transitional fall time.  I paired the jacket with Hill City’s Everyday Pant in Slim, a classic pant that should be a staple in any closet.  The first thing that I noticed was the adaptive waistband – I love that there was a little stretch and it sits really nicely on my hips. The durable cotton twill fabric adds a great texture and weight to the pant and we love a little added stretch & flexibility into our pants! The 3XDry® technology woven into the pants helped repel water, as it was lightly raining, and wicks sweat on the inside! I prefer a pant that is tapered throughout and not too baggy in the butt or thigh, and these fit me so great – no tailoring necessary! They offer the pants in 7 colors!
