When it comes to the holiday season, in regards to skincare, I think of the cold and my dry, dry skin. Mostly guys hesitate before a close shave with a razor in the winter months, they’ll either just trim to maintain, or throw caution to the wind and grow out a winter-beard for a few months – I used to be that guy. Over the past few years, I’ve found my groove with shaving and there are a few products that I’ve learned to love when it comes to shaving in the winter months.
For my razor, I use Harry’s Men’s Razor. It’s a simple and sleek razor that gives such a clean and comfortable shave. The blade cartridges are German-engineered with a flex hinge and lubricating strip for an easy glide love the weight of the razor, and the rubberized handle has a matte texture pattern that provides optimal control of the razor – even when wet! It’s available in 4 colors: Navy Blue, Forest Green, Bright Orange, and Surf Blue!
I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, but I’ve found that the shaving cream I use matters. I’ve been using Creamo’s Classic Shave Cream since college and feel like I get the least amount of razor burn or irritation with Creamo. It’s not foam or typical cream… It’s a rich and highly-concentrated cream that is super-lubricating and highly-slippery, helping to create an easy glide of the blade against your skin. The save cream also has conditioners in it, leaving your skin so soft & smooth after the shave.
I’m super-classic and love the originals. So when it comes to shaving, nothing is more classic than Old Spice’s After Shave! It’s such a musky and masculine scent that pours out of the buoy-shaped container. It’s the kind of stuff that you slap on and it stings ya a little — but in the best way. It’s an invigorating and refreshing way to end the shave!
