As we start adding layers to our wardrobe, the search for a fashionable fall jacket is on! I’m going to be rounding up a few of my favorite autumn coats over the next few weeks and showcasing them here. These first two finds are quite different, even though I’m sporting a more athleisure look, but love them equally as I believe a camel topcoat and a bomber are essentials in your closet – and perfect for this time of year! I love this look. It’s lazy, but a put-together street style-inspired outfit that is the epitome of athleisure. This is the perfect look for running weekend errands – or in my case, grabbing some coffee in the AM. I’ve got a pair of casual sweats on that I’ve paired with a stylish and more sophisticated layer. This first jacket is a long, fluid unstructured camel coat from Sandro. It’s perfect for these transitional months of September, October & November, and is roomy enough to add some layers on underneath. It allows for some great movement, which is why I love this piece so much. The jacket does have some cashmere fibers in it, so it will allow for some warmth retention, but it’s obviously not the jacket that I’m going to be grabbing when it’s sub-freezing in Chicago! I really do love this second outfit. It’s dapper but sneakers and bomber jackets add a bit of sport to mix to give this look well rounded and sleek feel. A versatile flannel shirt is a great investment for fall. It’s a solid layer to throw over a tee or tie around your waist. In this instance, I buttoned the shirt up all the way and love the polished look it gives with the bomber. Now – this Sandro Suede Bomber is just everything. I really dig the varsity vibes it’s giving off with two-tone suede/leather, as well as the cut of the jacket. This is a trim coat that you could wear all winter long, underneath your harsh-winter coat.
