With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, I wanted to give y’all some quick and super-simple ideas for celebrating the festive Mexican holiday. Salsa, chips, and guacamole are Cinco staples, but we all know the margarita is the life of the party.
To help in celebrating this Cinco de Mayo and raise a bottle to Mexican culture and the home of the Margarita, I’ve partnered with Cayman Jack after discovering their amazing-tasting prepared cocktail. Margaritas can be a tricky cocktail to serve by easily coming out too sweet & sugary or way too tart. The Cayman Jack Margarita is a light and refreshing prepared cocktail that blends natural ingredients with just enough tequila for a little bite. The premium cocktail uses organic limes, 100% blue agave nectar, and pure cane sugar – and these ingredients shine through in the drink. Now check out how incredibly easy this margarita is:
- salt rim – optional
- add ice
- 1 Cayman Jack’s Premium Margarita
- garnish with lime (for a kick, add fresh jalapeño and cracked black pepper)
It’s the easiest cocktail because you don’t need to do anything but twist the cap off, making it the ideal margarita for Cinco de Mayo (and beyond!). Check out some more info about Cayman Jack here!
Now that we have the drink situation squared away, it’s onto the chips & dips. No party ~ especially a Cinco de Mayo celebration ~ is complete without some guac. Here’s a quick recipe for basic guacamole that’s some great knowledge as a host to have on hand:
- 3 Avocados – peeled, pitted & mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 3 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- salt + pepper to taste!
With some cantina-style tortilla chips and hot salsa to round out your spread – you’ll be set!
Stay Risky,
– John
