This year, World Pride hits New York City for a historic event – the 50th anniversary of Stonewall! It’s a busy and fun weekend celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and while we’ve made strides in the past 50 years, there is still so much to do in getting visibility and equality for everyone that might be LGBTQ+ or other-ed.
We’re talkin’ style for pride and of course, I’m going to be in so much color all weekend, but for this first outfit, I wanted to focus on the socks from Bonobos’ Pride collection. The Pride Crew Socks are so great. They simply state “This is a Gay Sock” – and I couldn’t have said it any better myself. The collection benefits the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, an organization whose mission is to provide sensitive, quality health care and related services targeted to New York’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities — in all of their diversity — regardless of ability to pay.

I’m wearing the Stretch Lightweight Chino Shorts and honestly… I think I found my shorts for summer. These shorts are the lightweight and stretch version of Bonobos classic chino (one that I’ve featured many times) and they fit and feel great. They’re made up of a cotton blend that has just enough stretch and gives that the short moves with you. The shorts are and I rock a 7” inseam on all my Bonobos shorts! This Pride, I’m sticking to solid colors for my shorts and want my shirts to do all the talking.
Here are my favorite shorts:
The Riviera Shirt is a solid no-frills short sleeve button down that is a staple for summer. You can really get a great fitting shirt by the way Bonobos lets you select the fit size and shirt length for a nearly custom experience. I’m rocking a Jet Black Riviera Short Sleeve, but the shirt comes in over 80 different colors and prints. You can really have fun and get wild with them – perfect for Pride!
My favorite shirts for Pride:
