Besides the little snow storm we had earlier this week, Spring is in the air and you can feel the city at it’s seams with excitement for what’s to come – Summer. Unfortunately for us, Spring is one of the shortest seasons in Chicago, which means you need to maximize your spring wardrobe while you can. This outfit screams spring, and I couldn’t be more excited about it – short shorts, pastel a short sleeve button down and a quilted vest are all I need. I’ve always said, “the best weather is vest weather,” and I still stand by that statement! For this look, I’m rocking Barbour’s Newton Tailored-Fit Shirt. It’s a light linen shirt that is predominately pink but has blue and green throughout as well. I love this shirt because it will go with almost everything in my closet: khaki pants or blue jeans, suede shoes or white sneakers, green vest, blue jean jackets ~ everything! The vest comes from Barbour as well and is their Lowerdale Quilted Vest.

A little more a subtle spring look, this Lintern Slim Fit Shirt is a great standard linen shirt. It’s the perfect weight for spring through summer and I love the plaid detail on the underside of the cuff. It’s a casual shirt that is actually made a bit more stated by rolling up your sleeves. Because it’s so simple, this shirt can be dressed up or rocked with shorts and a bathing suit by the pool.

As spring in Chicago can still be a fickle beast, sometimes I light layer is necessary. These two looks are quite similar and to me really resemble that classic “Barbour” look. For both of these looks, I’ve paired my favorite Barbour piece, the Bedale Wax Jacket in Navy. It’s a coat that’s taken me through Chicago’s winters and is even a perfect top layer for some of those chilly days of spring. I threw a knit crewneck sweater over one of my favorite shirts from the Barbour Shirt Department collection from Macy’s, The Owen Tailored Shirt. It features a subtle micro polka dot in red and blue and is such a versatile button-down I can really wear year-round. The second look is quite similar, removing a layer and changing it into a red & blue windowpane button down. I’ll be wearing The Henry Tailored Shirt quite often this summer as it’s the perfect staple for a Cubs game. To check out Barbour’s spring selection of shirts check out more from The Shirt Dept. look no further. They can be found a Barbour and Macy’s!

John, you truly are the epitome of classy, effortless, impeccable style. Ever since I discovered your site and Instagram a few months ago, I’ve loved scrolling through your pics and blog posts, and brainstorming ways I can try to replicate your looks. You are my new style icon! You make everything you wear look so cool, and as someone who sometimes feels a bit fashion-challenged, you never fail to point me in the direction of outfits that I think would make me feel every bit as cool and confident as you always seem to look. The navy jacket with the crew neck sweater and chinos is my favorite look here, and I also love the short-sleeved button-down pastel with the quilted vest and shorts. I can’t wait to replicate them!
So nice. As always.
Hello ,
I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.
I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive.
Can you recommend something what works best for you?
I also want to improve SEO of my website. Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)
I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon.
P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?
Regards
Jan Zac
