When it comes to a winter overcoat, black is boring. My personal go-to color for fall and winter coats is a deep forest green. I decided to round-up a few of my favorites from this season! 1) Southern Tide The Maritime Jacket from Southern Tide is light and durable wax canvas jacket. The details of the coat are pretty classic with brass snap buttons, houndstooth lining, and a signature corduroy collar. The wax-coated exterior helps protect from the rain or snow and while the jacket is relatively thin, it makes for a great outer shell for layering up.

2) Bernardo This quilted field jacket from Bernardo draws from European inspiration. With the shoulder detailing, shorter moto-collar, and quilted exterior, I feel like I deserve a motorbike and helmet to dodge through traffic. The quilted texture gives this piece an elevated look & feel and it also features ribbed knitting on the inside of the collar.I paired this jacket with a pretty classic camel cable knit sweater. I love how the two textures play such a large role in this look. The jacket is water-resistant and features a machine washable.Shop this look:
3) Cotopaxi The Kusa Bomber from Cotopaxi is pretty unique and it’s cut as a trendy bomber cut my eye. Instead of typical down, the guys at Cotopaxi use fibers from lama fur, and they’re recycling scraps of old fabric to create their gear out of. This jacket is super light and can be rolled up into a pretty small bundle – perfect for traveling! I really wanted to keep this look pretty basic so the jacket would be the star. A pair of black skinny jeans, a black tee, and black Wolverine boots are all it took!Shop this look:
