Throughout this summer I’m working with GQ to highlight GQ + Gap’s annual #GQxGAP Best New Menswear Designers in America that will be launching at Gap in September. This versatile long sleeve piece from New York clothing brand Saturdays that will be a go-to this fall.
As these late summer days are getting shorter and the nights cooler, this is a perfect transition look. The top is breathable so you won’t sweat through it, but just thick enough that you won’t need another layer at night. Because Saturdays’ Mitch Henley is such a great transitional top, I styled the henley with Gap’s 7″ Coral Khaki Shorts for the perfect end-of-summer outfit. The coral pops as it’s bright and screams “summer vibes,” but is a casual look that can be taken into early fall as well.
The coral + white is a bright and clean look I definitely don’t pull off everyday. But I paired it with some white hightop sneakers from Rancourt & Co. to really make the coral pop. Go big, or don’t come at all – right?
The complete Best New Menswear Designers in America All-Stars collection will be hitting Gap this fall, so stay tuned as a I preview a few more pieces from selected menswear designers! Would love to know which piece has been your favorite – or how you would of styled them differently.
Stay Risky,
– John
