As we just had our first snow of the season, it looks like autumn is already on the way out. I’m still not done soaking up my favorite time of year and I feel like my clothes are having an easier time transitioning than me. I’ve put together one last varsity-inspired look from Polo that features two of my favorite pieces from their Polo U Collection.
The star of this look is without a doubt Polo’s Cotton-Blend-Fleece Cardigan. It’s unlike anything I have in my closet and embodies the Polo U Collection. With its bold color-blocking and vintage-inspired varsity vibe, this is a standout piece that will add flair to any outfit. The details of this cardigan really teleport this piece back in time and give it that varsity feel. The Cardigan features a shawl collar with a signature striping detail on the collar and five corozo buttons down the front placket. The sweater is covered with letterman patches and polo iconography. The colors are perfect for the season as well – with the wine & college green split and navy collar, I found that this sweater goes along with most layers in my closet
I’ve featured these Relaxed Fit Pleated Chinos from Polo before and just loved its fit and silhouette. A pant like this is the perfect complement to Fleece Cardigan as it’s not asking for attention but definitely has it’s own personality – and pleats! I’m a sucker for a cuffed hem and love them in combination with the front pleats. The fit of the pants is roomier than your slim jeans, but keep a nice shape as they’re a bit tapered at the ankle.
