It’s my first official blog post from NYC! Y’all ~ I’ve got a lot to catch you upon. To be honest, I’m still settling into my new place – as in we have no furniture and I’m sleeping on an air mattress – but more on that to come soon. I’ve loved the pace of the city thus far and have fallen in love with our neighborhood – lower Manhattan’s Financial District! Home of Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, and the World Trade Center, there is always quite a bit going on downtown. I figured the best way to get to know my hood is to fit-in by blending in and exploring!
Since college, I’ve been hooked on Bonobos firstly for their fit, then for their fashions. A good looking garment is nothing if it doesn’t fit you right! They’ve got more fit combinations for their products than any other brand! Here’s a classic fall look that I’ve put together to take you from work downtown, uptown for a night on the town! I like (need.) a blazer that is going to move with me, not something that is going to pin my arms to my side and only allow me to bed at the elbows. I’m wearing Bonobos’ Jetsetter Stretch Italian Wool Blazer – a jacket you’re sure to see me in often this fall. Just for sizing, I’m 6’ and I’m wearing a 40slim. It’s perfect for autumn and I love how the blue is slightly used throughout so that I can pair it with a pair of navy pants or shirt. Keeping with the ‘great fit and a little stretch’ theme, I paired the blazer with the Stretch Weekday Warrior Dress Pants. The pants have Bonobos’ signature contour waistband and they also have a hint of stretch for such comfortable wear. The pants really have a premium Italian-milled twill for a luxurious, elevated style. For sizing, I’m wearing a tailored pant as I like the trim, but enough fabric to move around in.

In the next installment of this post I’ll be including some of my favorite neighborhood spots – so stay tuned!
