These fleeting fall months are always my favorite. The air is brisk and there are always so many fun seasonal events around town. They happen to be short-lived here in Chicago, but they serve as a time where most Chicagoan’s arent’ wrapped in black puffer jackets. You can play with layers and other transitional pieces in your closet to showcase your best fall wardrobe. I just wanted to showcase a solid getup for the fall. This will be my go-to look, as I might swap out the pants for a corduroy or add-in a sweater beneath the jean jacket. You get the idea! I like to stick to basic earth tones in the fall. I find myself mostly in black, grey, forest green, and grey. These Rapid Movement Chinos serve as a great base for the outfit and can be worn casually (as displayed here) or worn more as a slack with a nice brown leather shoe and sports jacket. It will go with most looks I put together from now until March – so it’s a timely investment.I’ve had a denim jacket for a while, and always wanted a black jean jacket for this exact reason – they look so cool! This one is from Need Supply’s own label, NEED, and is a great denim layer. Pretty exciting are two “new” collaborations that Todd Snyder has. I say “new” because they’re with both New Era Caps and New Balance. I don’t usually rock a fitted cap (or hats in general… #bigheadproblems) but I really dig this charcoal herringbone Yankees cap. Their rendition of my favorite New Balance sneaker, the 247s, is quite amazing. Their collab is the “247 Luxe” collection, and I’m trotting around in the black. I have their originals in Olive, and they’re what you can usually find me in bopping around town. They’re comfy and casual as you can slip them right on & off – but this collaboration has an elevated sense with the suede.
