Summer is here and sticking around! With this shift in seasons, there are going to be a few pieces that will shine and be the stars of your wardrobe until about September. I recently re-visited a re-vamped retail friend of mine – Abercrombie & Fitch – to find the casual summer staples that I’ll be wearing all summer long.
This spring and summer I’ve already designated linen as the fabric I’m going to be living it. It really is such a great summer staple and I feel like I found it out much too late in life. I really enjoy Abercrombie’s take on linen with their Garment Dye Linen Shirt, a classic button-down with a curved hem so it can hang un-tucked. It is a bit tailored, alleviating the boxy “dad” look that linen can sometimes get blamed for. A pair of white jeans is also a summer-must, now that Memorial Day is past us. This pair of white Skinny Jeans has a great stretch and ripped knee detail, which I’m loving.

A classic summer wash and the blues-bros inspired this next outfit from Abercrombie. I typically wouldn’t wear blue-on-blue like this, but with the faded Ripped Skinny Jean, I think it works pairing chambray or the Icon Oxford in a lighter blue. This is a simple and casual look that you’ll be able to wear on almost any occasion this summer. To balance the ripped jeans with some prep, I’m rocking Sperry Topsiders – always a safe and comfortable choice!
