Last week I was invited to experience Kiehl’s latest product launch, the rollout of their Kiehl’s Apothecary Preparations. It’s a personalized skincare service that focuses on the type of sink you have and takes a customized approach to target your skin specifically.
Kiehl’s leaned into their own history for the inspiration of their Apothecary Preparations. This tailor-made process was sparked by 160 years of apothecary expertise, and the process is pretty personalized. To start, you’ll schedule a consultation with a Kiehl’s Customer Representative at one of the 20 Kiehl’s locations offering the new service – find that list here. In the meeting,a you’ll focus on 2 of 5 skin issues to target, and mix the customized concentrates yourself at home.
You’ll talk through the conditions and demands of your skin with a customer representative and they’ll help identify your personal skin concerns. Each base starts with a skin-strengthening concentrate that works with all skin types.. from there you’ll add 2 “targeted complexes.” They range from wrinkles or redness to texture and clarity. After talking through my current skincare regime, taking a closer look at my skin, and talking it through I found that redness and clarity were the two things that my face needed help with most. 
The notion is that you’ll take home the concentrate and you’re two targeted complexes, mix them together, shake (for 20 seconds!), and then you’ve made your own Apothecary Preparation! I’ve only been using the product for 4 days, but I can’t wait to loop back with yall and let you know how my complexion is doing!
